Let's Get to Work!

My sessions focus on a variety of training challenges for all ages.

As an Accredited Dog Trainer through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), I am experienced in basic manners such as recall, sit, down, and stationing as well as more advanced work in behavior modification for leash reactivity, inter-dog aggression, and resource guarding.

Send me an email through the Contact Page for requests and questions.
Include the type of session and a little bit about you and your pet.

A few notes:

Train the Trainer

$150 per session

This is a coaching session for pet owners. After watching me demonstrate each task, you take the leash and learn with your pet. I will be on the side, giving feedback and guidance throughout our time together. After the session, we will discuss behavior goals and questions.

This type of session is helpful for loose-leash walking, foundational behaviors, visitors coming to the home, resource guarding, inter-animal conflict, and home-based behavioral challenges.

Train the Pooch

$180 per session

This is a more advanced one on one training session with your dog. I will be training your dog, with or without you directly present, and locations can vary. At the end of our time, we will discuss an overview of the hour and the cues your pet learned during the session.

This type of session is helpful for leash reactivity, developing settling skills in public spaces, and building cooperative vet care behaviors.

Overnight Stays

$80 per night, additional fees vary

I offer in - home vacation pet care. Help put your mind at ease and help your pet feel the most comfortable staying in their home.

Add a daily Train the Pooch

for $40 a session!

Fees:

  • $10 per additional dog

  • $5 per additional cat

  • Travel fee applied one time

Financial support is available!

Dog training can get expensive! My prices are market rated and tips are not needed. My sessions are flat rate and not dependent of the behavior, meaning aggression cases are not held at a higher price than basic manners.

This is because behavior is dynamic and it's hard to fit all behavior into distinct pricing categories.

That said, times are tough in 2025. If the cost is a barrier to helping you and your animals, we can develop payment plans or a sliding scale. Let's chat and see what's attainable!

Do you offer board and train?

I do not offer board and train at this time. I have worked at different board and train facilities and found that the changes in the dog's routine, comfort, and distance from their home adds more challenges to the learning process. I have the most success teaching owners and families how to work with their dog directly and I see less behavior regression.

Overnight stays with training add-on may meet your need, depending on availability and proximity to Bend. Reach out if you have questions!

Do you train cats?

Cat behavior is fascinating! I do not hold a certification in cat behavior, but always look for experiences to expand my repertoire. I worked with veterinary behaviorist, Dr. Laura Ansel, on cat behavior cases in Louisiana and connect with the IAABC cat behaviorists.

If you'd like to schedule cat training, my session rate is reduced to $100.

If your cat training involves a dog this would fall under the Train the Trainer session at $150.

Maddi W. / Peggy, Phoebe, Prue

"Kim takes incredible care of my animals when I am out of town. My dog, Peggy, feels so safe and comfortable with her, as do my cats. Kim gives thorough communication during her services which keeps my mind at ease."

Paige C.R. / Zulu
New Orleans, 2024-2025

"I decided to work with Kim after a friend and fellow dog owner enthusiastically recommended her. The fact that she worked at the New Orleans Zoo impressed my husband and me. Kim definitely has a way with dogs and a good intuitive understanding of them. I especially like that Kim is willing to send you a text message summarizing what she does in her lessons after you worked with her. She is a very hard worker, indeed!"

Martha M. / Henry & Emma
New Orleans, 2024-2025

"Are you trying to find the best trainer for your pet? Look no further!

Kim and I worked with our two snoodles, Henry and Emma for over a year. Both dogs are lovable and the focus of our retired life. That being said, one is obsessive (food and greeting people) and the other is reactive (other dogs and surprises!). We needed help with greetings and walks.

I said "we" because Kim knows we humans need the training to train our dogs! With her amazing experience, she knows how to break training down to manageable steps, how to reinforce us and our pets to move toward the desired behavior. She followed up each lesson with a written recap of our session and weekly goals, and was availabe to answer the odd question. Communication is key."

Abigail K. / Valka
New Orleans, 2023-2025

"Valka and I met Kim working through R+ Dog in New Orleans. She has been a wonderful colleague with valuable insight into the science of animal training.
Valka (reactive husky/aussie) is always excited to train with Kim at any opportunity! I really appreciate her understanding of each unique animal and human team. She always has such great suggestions for making the most out of the training process. I know she'll work alongside you and your pup to help find ways to set you both up for success!"
